Privacy Policy

Overview

Klonk is designed with privacy in mind. We collect as little data as possible to make the games work. We do not run ads, do not use third-party trackers, and do not sell or share your data with anyone.

What we collect

• Display name: The name you enter when joining a game. This is stored temporarily in your browser session and is not persisted on our servers after the game ends.
• Game data: Game events (moves, votes, answers) are processed in real time and discarded after the session ends.
• Language preference: Stored as a cookie on your device so we can show you the site in your language.
• Age verification: For drinking games, we store a confirmation flag in your browser's local storage. We do not collect your date of birth.

What we do NOT collect

• Email addresses (unless you contact us)
• IP addresses for tracking purposes
• Device fingerprints
• Analytics or behavioral tracking data
• Payment information (the service is free)

Cookies

We use a single cookie (lang) to remember your language preference. No advertising, tracking, or third-party cookies are set.

Infrastructure

Klonk runs on Cloudflare's edge network. Cloudflare may process standard connection metadata (IP address, TLS version) as part of serving requests. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details on their data handling.

User-generated content

If you submit content through the community page (prompts, words, etc.), that content is reviewed for quality and safety before being published. Submitted content does not include any personal identifiers.

Children's privacy

Klonk is not directed at children under 13. Drinking games require age verification. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
